1st Day: UK/Ireland - Night on board

Arrive at your UK/Ireland departure airport ready to check-in for a flight to Nairobi*. Night on board.

*If either your outbound or inbound flights depart in the early hours (before 4:00 a.m.) you must arrive at the airport the night before the indicated departure day.

 

2nd Day: Nairobi

Arrive, meet your guide at the airport and transfer to your hotel* in Nairobi. Depending on your arrival time, spend the remainder of the day relaxing or exploring at leisure, ready to set off on your safari adventure tomorrow morning. 

The capital is also known as the 'Green City in the Sun' and is a vibrant place where you can really get to grips with Kenya's diverse culture. Sample the delights of Kenyan cuisine and check out the local bars or cafes to soak up its buzzing atmosphere. Overnight stay in Nairobi.

3rd Day: Nairobi - Amboseli National Park3rd Day: Nairobi - Amboseli National Park

Early breakfast at the hotel. This morning, head southwards out of the city to Amboseli. Watch the landscape slowly change from urban metropolis to vast wilderness. Catch sight of distant Mount Kilimanjaro as you journey through the African savannah past local homesteads and Maasai communities. Arrive at the lodge in time for lunch.

The afternoon is yours to enjoy at your leisure at the lodge, or, to get the most out of your experience, why not take part in an optional afternoon game drive in Amboseli*. Dinner and overnight stay in Amboseli.

*Afternoon game viewing drive in Amboseli National Park: exciting trip with the chance to spot elephants, lions, cheetahs, and a variety of bird species in their natural habitat. The cooler temperatures of the afternoon make it perfect for viewing, and the golden light provides perfect photo opportunities.

Breakfast at the lodge. Choose to start your day with an optional early morning hot air balloon safari* before game viewing!


Today, choose your preferred way to explore the park (communicate your choice to your representative directly at destination).

- Either a full-day safari in Amboseli National Park, with mid-morning and early afternoon spent at leisure back at the camp.

- Or an extensive half-day game drive to explore larger areas of the park, returning to your lodge for a late lunch.

Upon returning from your chosen schedule, spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure, with dinner and overnight stay at the lodge in Amboseli.

*Hot air balloon safari: brand new to the park, join an incredible balloon flight covering the spectacular and majestic Mount Kilimanjaro. See  Amboseli National Park’s vast ecosystem, teaming with wildlife.

Please note: the optional Hot Air Balloon Safari is dependent on weather conditions at the destination and will be confirmed the day before. If the activity cannot go ahead, it will be refunded on return from your trip. Children must be 4 years and older to take part.

5th Day: Amboseli National Park - Lake Naivasha

Breakfast at the lodge. Today, continue with your onward journey towards the Lake Naivasha region and arrive in time for lunch. Spend late afternoon at your leisure exploring independently, or, for an extraordinary adventure, why not walk among the animals on crescent island*. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge in Lake Naivasha.


*Boat safari to Crescent Island: enjoy a leisurely boat safari to Crescent Island and enjoy the rare chance to walk among wildlife!! The island’s sanctuary isn't home to any predators, so you can safely wander alongside families of hippos, zebras, giraffe, and wildebeest. The opportunity of a lifetime!

6th Day: Lake Naivasha - Maasai Mara National Reserve

Awaken to the sounds of nature and enjoy breakfast at the lodge. Afterwards, depart for the world-famous Maasai Mara National Reserve. Journey along the floor of the Great Rift Valley and pass through the charming towns of Mai Mahiu and Narok, the latter of which is the Maasai capital.

Arrive at the lodge in time for lunch and soak up the breathtaking views of the surrounding savannah. Spend the afternoon at leisure enjoying the facilities. Dinner at the lodge. Overnight stay in the Maasai Mara.

Breakfast at the lodge. Embark on an unforgettable day of wildlife-spotting as you set off on a full-day game-viewing drive with a packed lunch to enjoy on the go. This extra time will allow you to explore the vast reserve at length and discover the spectacular and diverse landscapes of the Maasai Mara.

Enjoy an authentic Kenyan safari experience and look out for the Big Five off on one of the best game-viewing drives on earth! As this magical day draws to a close, return to the lodge and unwind at dinner as you retell the stories of today’s adventures! Overnight stay in the Maasai Mara.

8th Day: Maasai Mara National Reserve - Nairobi

Enjoy early breakfast and on your last day in the Kenyan wilderness, relax at your lodge or, to get the most out of your final hours, set off on an optional Hot Air Balloon Safari*, or a visit to a local Maasai Village***.

At mid-morning it’s time to head back to Nairobi, arriving back in the capital in the afternoon. Get settled in at the hotel, ready to spend your final evening in Kenya at your leisure, perhaps shopping for souvenirs or indulging in the local cuisine in Nairobi’s many eateries. Overnight stay in Nairobi.

*Optional Hot Air Balloon Safari: Experience the majesty of the Maasai Mara from the sky on a once-in-a-lifetime hot air balloon safari. Ascend at dawn and experience the most unforgettable sunrise imaginable as the savannah and its wildlife spring to life in the soft morning light.

**Optional Maasai Village visit: Discover the local culture with a visit to a Maasai Village. The Maasai people are known for their brilliant artisan crafts and colourful clothing.
